Hardcore Raspberries fans should definitely try to hunt down a copy of Play On - it's pretty darn impressive how well McCarl single-handedly approximates his former band's sticky-sweet sound
from the breakneck thrash of ÔReality Is Waiting For A BusÕ to the ominous dirge of ÔWake Up ScreamingÕ
issued in 1973
while somehow still sounding utterly their own
Insane- Victims (Vinyl) Buzz Hardcore Raspberries fans should definitelyInsane continue sticking to their (strident, ripping) guns with their second full length, Victims, drawing their influences both from classic Canadian and German Thrash Metal. Lyrically focused on the dark world of Swedish murderers, Victims indeed evokes a darker aspect than the already dark Evil predecessor; the harmonic dual guitar action sends well timed shivers down the listener's spine.
